An insider’s view of Young Life Liberty Region’s long-range plan and fundraising activities

Our newsletter has a new look this month and, as you can see, we continue to align ourselves with Young Life’s FORWARD campaign. One of the foundations of the FORWARD campaign is that we will move forward together by building and equipping teams that reflect the worldwide body of Christ. We do this because we want to reflect the cultures in which we minister. And it’s important to the campaign because Christ, through Paul, taught us to come together – to be united in mind and thought:

“I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.” –1 Corinthians 1:10 (NIV)

More on the Advancing Liberty Campaign Team

In last month’s newsletter, we introduced the Advancing Liberty campaign structure, including the subcommittee model for focusing our efforts on growth and improvement. This month (and in future newsletters), we’ll emphasize one of those subcommittees to give you a better sense of its purpose and objectives.

Business Mentoring Subcommittee

The purpose of this subcommittee is to improve leadership of current and future staff by leveraging the experience and acumen of the adult business community. To accomplish this purpose, we will a) Identify mentors and mentees by area; b) Create the program thru which we profile, match and transfer knowledge; and c) Pilot, assess and scale.

Prayer Request

We have submitted our first campaign proposal to The Harold C. Smith Foundation to fund a student staff program, complementing the business mentoring program described above. The final stage in the approval process begins March 1st and is looking quite positive. We would appreciate your prayers as we continue to pursue this relationship.

We know we are united in mind and thought in reaching more kids in the Liberty Region through Young Life. Thank you for your continued commitment to it.
