Your awareness of and contribution to Young Life’s mission in the Liberty Region makes you an insider, and this newsletter helps to keep you informed.
Approved!
The Harold C. Smith Foundation (HCS) has approved our application and has awarded the Liberty Region $380K for our Student Staff Initiative (SSI). The grant is over two years ($190K/year) and is a matching grant, which means we will raise that same amount from other donors and foundations and, thereby, fully fund the Student Staff Initiative. Praise the Lord!
The Student Staff Initiative
The Liberty Region Student Staff Initiative is crucial to our long-term plan to start and sustain new ministries in new areas. Each area in our region wants to hire more staff to grow our ministries in quantity and quality, so a robust pipeline of potential Staff Associates and Area Directors is needed for us to reach our strategic goals. Emily Kurtz (our regional trainer) will be leading our region-wide effort to identify new Student Staff and maximize their potential to evolve into staff associates. The HCS grant will allow us to bring on fifteen Student Staff each year, greatly impacting the number of young people we reach. We cannot be more grateful to the Harold C. Smith Foundation and their investment in our best and brightest volunteers, who will be the future leaders of Young Life in the Liberty Region.
