The Advancing Liberty fundraising initiative is part of the Liberty Region’s five-year strategic plan and our expression of Young Life’s FORWARD campaign. Your awareness of and contribution to Young Life’s mission in the Liberty Region makes you an insider, and this newsletter helps to keep you informed.

Summer Camp Assignments

Summertime is here and that means Young Life Summer Camps are happening throughout the region and around the world. Thirteen Liberty Region staff members are on assignment this summer at Saranac Village (NY), Rockbridge Alum Springs (VA), North Bay (MD), and Timberwolf Lake (MI). From June to August, they will fill a variety of roles, including camp director, head leader, camp speaker, work crew boss, and program team, but we can be sure they will all be Jesus to the kids and young moms they meet. Make sure to send them off with your support and pray for them throughout the summer.

Campership Legacy Fund

A legacy gift is a planned, future gift that designates some part of an individual's estate as a donation to Young Life. Young Life has a Campership Legacy Fund program, which we have chosen as an element of the Advancing Liberty campaign. The purpose of the Campership Legacy Fund is to fill our financial pipeline so that unreached kids throughout the Liberty Region can have an encounter with Jesus Christ through a week of Young Life camp. If planned giving is of interest to you, contact your Area Director.

Subcommittee Spotlight - Individual Gifts

The Individual Gifts Subcommittee’s purpose is to identify, qualify, and engage with individual donors throughout the Liberty Region to secure giving commitments for the campaign. They’ve invested a tremendous amount of time and effort analyzing data with, the guidance of our YL Development team and Campaign Counsel, to ensure we’re finding exactly the right donors to achieve our campaign goals. Just as with a YL leader and a kid, the relationship matters, and that’s where our regional staff is critically important to our engagement.
