The Advancing Liberty fundraising initiative is part of the Liberty Region’s five-year strategic plan and our expression of Young Life’s FORWARD campaign. Your awareness of and contribution to Young Life’s mission in the Liberty Region makes you an insider, and this newsletter helps to keep you informed.
Developing Leaders
The greatest need in our region is a continued investment in what is also our greatest asset – our volunteer leaders. Volunteer leaders give their time at schools, leading club and Campaigners and taking kids to camp. Their hearts are fixed on teenagers, and they give their time and energy to point kids on the path to fulfilling lives. Our strategic plan will increase our investment throughout the Liberty Region over the next five years by adding hundreds of new volunteer leaders. But adding leaders is just where the investment begins – training, mentoring, and developing them will help ensure Young Life in our region remains healthy, grows, and we ultimately reach more kids.
Subcommittee Spotlight: Ministry Excellence
Part of Young Life’s legacy is being excellent at every level of what we do and there are many examples of this excellence at work throughout the Liberty Region. That legacy comes from 78 years of building on what works and refining areas that need it. Many of our feasibility study participants underscored this basic YL tenet, which motivated the formation of this campaign subcommittee. Welcome Nes Espinosa, Associate Regional Director
Nes Espinosa, Associate Regional Director, and his family
Young Life Philadelphia is excited to introduce Nes Espinosa, our new Associate Regional Director. Nes is a lifelong Philadelphian, born in North Philadelphia, where he attended Thomas Edison High School and received his Masters in Divinity from Biblical Seminary in 2013. Nes loves young people and brings an incarnational Spirit of Christ and a wealth of connections from over twenty years of urban ministry. He has a unique blend of spiritual and entrepreneurial gifts and he is a great add to our team. Nes and Dana have been married for twenty years and have three children – Alecia, Justis, and Selena.
Young Life reaches kids with the excellent news of Jesus Christ throughout the Liberty Region and we want to extend that reach. Thank you for your partnership in helping us do so.
